LONDON!!!

Today has been busy and it all began with a loud rap at the front door at 8:30am when the cable guy showed up to hook our house up to cable and internet. (That’s right I now have internet access in my house so I can check OD all the time now, lol)
It was a chaotic morning. the 1 hr installation ended up taking 4 and I was the only one home for the most part of it dealing with him, all while trying to have a phone session with my therapist. Considering that hour is supposed to be therapedic, it was anything but. ::sigh:: Oh well.
Then I had to go to campus and see a nurse to get checked out, make sure I’m phsyically healthy and all that. She didn’t weigh me. The nutritionist is doing that. She was really nice, but she scared me a bit. My blood pressure is 88/65 and she says that’s pretty low and my heartrate is regular but slow. I told her of my fear of going to sleep at night and dying in my sleep and she didn’t reassure me that it won’t happen.
So did that stop me from b/ping today? Of course not. I did it 3 times.
Then I checked my email and guess what happened to be in the inbox, my ACCEPTANCE TO STUDY ABROAD IN LONDON NEXT SEMESTER!!!
I suddenly have a new inspiration to get healthy. It’s actually going to happen! I’m going to study in Europe for about 5 months!!!
I need to stop purging for many reasons. The top 2 are: 1) I don’t want to be afraid to go to sleep at night with the fear of not waking in the morning and 2) I cannot go to Europe with an ED. Without a doubt I will be living with A LOT of people and purging is not an option when you’re living with around 10 people.
Well, that’s my day so far…

Congrats!!! I am sure you will love it 🙂 Although, I was born in London, so of course I would say that. I studied in Cork, Ireland, and like you, it was my motivation (or one of them) to try recovery. You deserve to enjoy your time there to the fullest without old ED bogging you down. Plus there is always the fear of a medical crisis when so far from home… or at least there was for me! Anyways,

Anyways, despite my occasional slip-ups and relapses, I have been recovering for a while now and am not too bad at it, so if you need any advice or just need to vent, let me know!!! Health is definitely worth it (no matter how much I may bitch, I know this is true), and I hope you will be able to see that eventually. Anyways, I am in a rambling mood tonight… I should really shut up! Take care!
