Some Words for Today
There is no “I” or “They” in the Almighty’s name. That lesson is one we all must learn at some point in our journeys to advance. Some have been there for years, some are just getting there now, and some will be there eventually. Everyone’s journey is unique, but coming to the realization is inevitable.
There are no other gods before יהוה. Thus, no person, place, possession, dollar sign, job, etc., should ever take His place in our hearts.
Yes, we must all work, live, and function in this world while we’re here. We’re also required to bless other people with our presence and use whatever gifts/talents we’re given to help others. But the moment we start exalting ourselves or those gifts, we will find that we are out of alignment with our purpose.
The moment we put another person or entity at the top of our priority list, we become worshipers of that person or entity.
The moment we start overvaluing our possessions or not being thankful for what we already have is when everything might get taken away.
The moment we seek money, fame, entertainment, material possessions, unordained love, worldly promotion, etc. BEFORE seeking the Kingdom of יהוה is when we get life backwards.
Our mission is not about our recognition, other people’s shenanigans, the bad things “God” will do to so and so, or the devil’s tactics. It’s not about singling out any specific person or group and bludgeoning them with Hell-speak or hate, either. All have sinned, and any sin can yield the same result if it isn’t pardoned by the Most High.
The mission is about submitting ourselves to יהוה so that He can finish the work He started and promised to finish within us. It’s about being set apart and letting those who don’t know Him see Him in us so they will get an idea of who He is. It’s also about spreading the message of redemption.
How can anyone see יהוה in us if we’re running around acting like the world, or worse yet, the enemy? How can anyone have faith in His goodness when all they see is His proclaimed children fighting among each other, bashing, gossiping, and undercutting one another? Think about that. Is there not already enough of that going on in the world as is?
This world can be very distracting with all its devices, temptations, and challenges. It can sometimes grab our attention too much when we’re out there doing whatever we do. The physical and spiritual battles are also always going on, but we must never lose sight of what this life is all about: Glorifying Him. That is literally all.
Let everything you do be to His glory only, and don’t resent correction if it comes your way. Confess if you happen to stumble, learn the lesson, and then get up and keep on walking.
Take all your thoughts captive and check them against the Word so that no “invalid” ones ever see the light of day or develop into sin. Drop those unholy things immediately.
Don’t be afraid of changes, opps, or challenges because they can all be huge growth opportunities.
Remember to give praise and/or sing, even if the world doesn’t like your voice. Halleluyah.
This message is for all believers, including myself, and it comes from a place of experience, not of judgment or condemnation of others.
