Just Saying
Obadiah 1:12: You should not gloat over your brother in the day of his misfortune, nor rejoice over the people of Judah in the day of their destruction, nor boast so much in the day of their trouble.
Proverbs 24:17-18: Do not gloat when your enemy falls; when they stumble, do not let your heart rejoice, or the LORD Yahuah will see and disapprove and turn his wrath away from them.
Gloating over anyone’s misfortune is not of the Almighty, regardless of whether one does or does not believe they deserve it. It’s regardless of whether they did or didn’t wrong a person and regardless of what side either of them are on.
This behavior is 100% of the enemy and should not be coming from proclaimed “righteous” people. I’d wonder about any teachers, preachers, or spiritual advisors who use gloating or putting others down as a form of “edification.”
Just saying. Be careful. There are many good people of faith out there, but there are also numerous ungodly prophets and such. Use your discernment with all speakers/writers, including me, and test all spirits.
