I can’t hold it back anymore….

I know you all probably don’t want ot hear about this, but I am going to rant about the war. I have just gotten to a point where I have to say something, and this is my diary, so I will say it, and if you don’t want to hear about it, then I would suggest that you stop reading right now, not hard feelings.

So, all I see is the government sucks, and Bush is an asshole, and we shouldnt be going to war, and blah blah blah blah blah. Wel, first of all, isn’t this call “Operation Iraqui Freedom”? Isn’t freeing people from a reallie shitty dictator a good thing? Secondly, I am not a hippie, nor do I have any desire to hug trees or become a human shield, although I do tend to lean toward the liberal side more so than the conservative. I feel that if we are going to war, then there is probably a better reason that we don’t know about. I mean seriously. Would we reallie go to war for oil again? You remember how that went back in “Desert Storm”. As much as you can say like father like son, I don’t think that all the other people with a say in whether or not we go to war would make the same mistake twice. No one wants another “Desert Storm”. That was just a discrace. Now. On to more important matters. We are already at war, correct? Well what’s the use of protesting a war that is already started? I didn’t want it either, and before it started I may have even considered protesting if I had truly felt that it would make a differance, or if I hadn’t felt like the war had already begun, but now it’s here. It’s here and theres nothing we can do about it. Why protest when all that does is divide the country. Now, I’m not saying run out and join the army, nor am I saying build a bomb shelter in your basement and buy a thousand gallons of water, but this isn’t “Desert Storm”. This is the real thing. I would be completely devistated if this turned out to be like Vietnam, and when our troops come home they are shunned for following orders. All we can do at this point is support our troops and pray that they come home safely. I’m sure everyone of you knows at least one person in the military, and is hoping that they come home alive and in one piece. Negative energy toward the government only gets them dead. And another thing. That whole thing about the American who went overseas to be a human shield and got shot. Well he went there to be a human shield!!! What did he think was going to happen? Am I supposed to feel sorry for him? I’m not that stupid. He went there to die, so when he died, why should I be upset. He was an idiot.
