here we go again

tomorrow i am going to visit another college. after this visit to delhi i have to pretty much choose by the end of the weekend which college i will be going to otherwise i won’t get a spot in the program. i hope i can decide that fast. i mean, it’s a pretty big decision. i know i talk about the animal hospital a lot, but i am going to share more. well, last week there was a rat with an awful big tumor. i never really fancied rats before, but this rat was so so so cute. i watched him (i think it was a him) being put to sleep. it was so sad after the shot because the rat made tiny fists. the poor dear. = then, today i got to help x-ray a dog’s leg. it is a puppy boxer. he was shaking so bad because it hurt his leg just to get the x-ray. i got to go into a room kind of like a developing room for photographs with the red light and develop the x-rays. the dog has about 3 or 4 hairline fractures in his leg so he gets a cast. it is better than a break because surgery to get pins and all that can cost up to $3,000. there was also a baby cat that got hit by a car. he is a stray and his jaw was broken so he will probably be put to sleep tonight or tomorrow. this lady who works at the animal hospital named ursula has a program called cat rescue where she takes strays home and finds them homes or keeps them herself. she is german and talks all cool. =) she would have paid for it except she already owes $1,000 to the hospital. i got to help the kitty eat with a syringe. his face was all icky so i cleaned him off too. then, i got to clean a ferret’s cage. her name is sheba and she was just staying while her family was on vacation. she played in one of those balls like for hamsters while i cleaned the cage. she is so sweet.
