This is Sanae Takaichi.She’s Japan’s new PM.She’s a regular visitor to the Yasukuni Shrine, which honors Japan’s convicted Class-A war criminals from World War II.She has publicly argued that Japanese atrocities during World War II have been “overstated”.She believes that Japan does not need to offer further apologies for its wartime past.Imperial Japan murdered around 20 million people before and during WW2, most of whom were Chinese.
They also occupied and committed war crimes in Korea, Taiwan, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Burma, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, parts of New Guinea, Hong Kong, and various Pacific islands.
