all is well again
Sweety got back safely this afternoon, I picked her up at the airport.
And Speakeasy sent us a new DSL Modem, hooked it up, and we’re back online. If you ever need home or office dsl, I’d consider these folks. They act like real people and treat us well too, unlike verizon. Maybe not the cheapest, but they’ve been good to us, and we’ve been with them for several years now.
A bunch of folks are coming over for a "potluck" saturday, but we still need to figure out what to ask the other folks to bring and what we’ll fix ourselves.
Finally some clear weather after storms since Sat nite.
Life is better now.

I’m tempted to paraphrase the Freak Brothers with, “The Internet will get you through times of no sweeties better than sweeties will get you through times of no Internet,” but that would be rude and I like your Sweety, so I probably shouldn’t.
