NY Times article on Transitioning
NY Times has a very good article on transitioning in the workplace.

Really a good positive article. They point out that it’s now probably easier to transition at your job, rather than the old mode of trying to disappear as your old gender and re-appear in a new job as your new gender. And some employees are actually recruiting transgender folks to help their diversity standings. Whoo Hoo!!
At least the corporate world is starting to accept TG peoples. I think any steps forward is worth celebrating. It sure is becoming a different world. I was not born in the right century. It’s frustrating- but I’m not complaining really. Just stating a fact. I still remember from recent history, upon outing myself for a job as a lesbian (I will probably always remain a closet TG) about 10 years ago, the boss told me, “Well, we all have our weirdnessess”. I lasted 2 weeks at that job. Great article though! Little steps lead to more and bigger steps.

I see transfolks every day, and never even think twice. That’s the joy and privilege of living in San Francisco. The Castro more specifically.
