Update on stuff and stuff, 11 Sept
Okay, hi folks. Updates:
Daughter’s health is still not straightening out — she’s actually increased the frequency of fainting/collapsing at school, her friends have taken her to the emergency room 3 times (I think) in the last 2 weeks. The last one, yesterday, was apparently very bad, and seemed to turn into what everyone, including daughter, called a panic attack.
To me, this is still pointing to the fact that she apparently has a lot of anxiety about something, growing up perhaps, and is just freaking out over life.
The removal of all the trees started today. The estimate from our friendly tree guys from Rixeyville (I kid you not, that’s the town in Virginia that they’re from) was a cool $9800 – insurance is covering all but our deductible, which is awesome. We’ll get a separate estimate for fence repair after we can actually see the fence.
Sweety is going off on a retreat for school the beginning of next week, several days. I hesitate to say that I’ll be "batching" it, as in "batchelor" because I just don’t like that gender implication (picky picky picky – so sue me). So, ladies, what do you call it when you’re on your own for a few days? heaven?
Started working on basic Spanish again – I’m using the Rosetta Stone package. I really liked the French 1 & 2 packages, got me up to speed again a couple of years back in preparation for our trip to France. If McBush wins, the prospect of Sweety and I setting up shop in Costa Rica instead of the US would be much more likely. Oh yeah, that catastrophe theory I keep alluding too – I should write that up sometime.
More later, but that’s about all that’s going on. I just wish we could have the damn election and get that crap off the tv. I’m in favor of more campaigning only if it exposes how poor the Palin choice is and Obama-Biden get their margin back.
later my dears
stay well
Jude
I never knew where batching it came from.

ug, seriously, the government is trying so hard to convince? themselves, maybe? that our individual votes actually carry credence. We have a choice in the laws the government makes for us. Right! Free country ~deep cough~ lol. I am so with you, just waiting for those glorious faces and voices to disappear from my life on a daily basis (demoncrats and repubicans both)Yes, I meant the typos. :oP

Ya, I’m thinking your daughter is having issues with dealing with adult life. Who wants to be an adult when being a child and looked after is so much easier? Sounds like she is about to go through a major growth period (followed with many ups and downs). “Batching it”. LOL. I’ve always thought of my time alone like that. I don’t know what women call it when their husbands are gone for a while. Batching it for me means I can watch all the house improvement shows I want, the DIY channel and the news to my heart’s content. I also get to munch on whatever I want when I want without worry about saving my appetite for meals together with food that will make her happy. It means I get have my own sleep cycle- that means going to bed insanely early and waking up at 7 (as opposed to staying up insanely late because she wants me up with her). I love her to death- but when she’s got meetings and such that keep her away from home… I love “batching it”. Enjoy your free time! Oh ya- if Obama-Biden don’t get voted in… I will forever believe that this country is too full of dim wits. (Um- in my ever to be humble opinion- political statements are dangerous, I know.)

I’m actually a member of the Green party (yep, I’m a tree hugger), but this year, I’m voting for Obama. In my opinion, the only reason why Palin was chosen for the running mate, is because the republicans are trying to look more friendly and less like warmongers (and get the “Hilary vote”) and so they can convince her to let them drill the crap out of Alaska. Other then that, she’s just more photogenic then McCain. I don’t think I’ve ever once “batched it”. I think that’s what David does when he’s home and I’m at work though. Since I am the cooker, cleaner, it’s bed-time guy in the relationship. If it were up to him, it’d be cereal for dinner, TV till 4am, and dishes only get done when we’re completely out of everything. RYN: Well, my company almost killed me (and made David, incredibly ill), then tricked me into taking a $4000 pay cut by changing the rules after I had already taken a different position. It’s not exactly a “worker friendly” environment. Hopefully, the next one is. Lots of hugs, John

I hope that your daughter is ok. Ouch that’s a lot for tree removal. Glad to hear that your insurance covers most of it. You bring up a good point- what do woman call it? I’ve no idea but heaven sounds good.
