Nugget’s First Christmas (lots of pics)

 

He’s only 5 months old. He was not impressed. He ate some wrapping paper, looked at the new toys like "and I do what now?" and basically didn’t give two poops. He was also a little sick and whiney, so he just clung to me or Baboo all day. It was fine.

I actually enjoyed the day. We didn’t rush out ot my dad’s house like we have in past years and it was just a nice relaxing day listening to the kids play with their new stuff in the background while we half watched movies and took naps. HUZZAH!

I also made a turkey breast that came out really nicely. I roasted potatoes in the drippings (after the turkey was mostly done I plopped them in the same pan) and they came out SO DELICIOUS! Nom. I also made some other fixings and it was a pretty relaxing meal.

What else?

Ummm, we had a Christmas Eve get together with Baboo’s grandmother, sister, and brother. I made my first ever beef stew and that came out tasty. it was a nice time, except I was SO STRESSED out beforehand because Baboo sprung the whole event on me in the last second! Argh!

I got a lot of awesome cooking tools. A stand alone mixer, a food processer, rice and veggie steamer and a bread machine! I’ve wanted all of those things for SO LONG. So yay. I am going to be cooking like crazy. I am excited to look up recipes with all sorts of fresh stuff and play with my new toys!!!

I am easily pleased.

i also FINALLY got my Bamboo. It’ a drawing pad type thingy for use with the computer. I will hopefullhy be able to ink my comics faster so I can start producing those and also using them in my pod/vlog casts. You’ll see how it works.

i am also hoping, with the baby being a TEENSY bit more independent, I will be able to get back to writing, not only editing my Humanity Scar novels (way over due. I suck), but also a weekly update from Kat in a new blog I want to start for her. Should be awesome.

ANYWAY, lots of projects floating around my brain. I must organize and execute! ORGANIZE AND EXECUTE!

What… they don’t look thrilled? lol. It’s hard to get a pic of all three of them in a happy face. Meanwhile, that lovely tree died about 3 days before Christmas and I was too scared to have the lights on for longer than 3 minutes. We will definitely wait a little longer if we get another living dead tree next year.

ZOMBIE TREES!

The boys with their fav gifts. Jacob with his army gear (helmet, goggles, bullets and grenades. lol. We also got them both pop guns, but my dear baboo only bought ONE so we had to not let them know we have them. They will get them sometime next week and be happy for an extended christmas). Jon loved his Cirque Du Freak books and his Battleship game. Of course, we thought we had the electronic one with sounds, but we didn’t, so he soon tired of it. LOL> Jeesh.

Also, I don’t know why my children enjoy looking homeless and like we don’t give them clothes. Sigh

OH YEAH! So Baboo has been paying off an awesome gift for the last few month, an upgraded engagment ring! My previous one was 100 dollars of cubic zirconia… this piece is diamonds baby. TADOW:

Don’t mind my ancient looking hands. I need to find a good moisturizer. I feel old. lol. The ring is pretty though no?

Nugget getting the hang of this "playing with toys" thing. It was adorable. For the 90 seconds he actually got into it. ha ha!

I love my family. i am so damn blessed with my life right now. I do not take it for granted.

Alright, I gotta go. My baby has been so quiet and good letting me write this ENTIRE entry without a peep. He’s bouncing in his little bouncey chair but I can see he is getting restless. (he even let me edit it for typos and is still really quiet and SMILING. He may let me get some writing done in the future! Imagine!)
