Knitting Porn

I haven’t been writing much over the last couple of days, because I have been busy knitting up a storm! I couldn’t help but have two projects on the go at once. I have been itching to knit up a baby jacket. I found a old pattern book that I bought before Callum was even a twinkle. So why the hell not try and have a go at knitting up a moss stitch baby jacket. So far so good. It’s a very easy pattern and in a matter of two days it’s almost finished.

I took these photos yesterday thinking that I would get around to updating, however that didn’t happen. I have now finished off the left side front and started on the first sleeve.

Here is a better close up. I’m loving the whole moss stitch, however I’m still a little "holely" at knitting in moss st. I can’t wait to have the jacket fully finished. I knitted a lot of clothes for Callum while pregnant, however they never got worn just due to the fact I knitted all winter items thinking he would be born in December and by winter he would fit into them. How far could I have been from the truth. So now Im just knitting, whatever takes my fancy.

Now, I can’t forget the socks. This would be my second pair of socks that I have knitted for Matt. I tried looking around for the first pair, Im starting to think that Matt is wearing them today at work. I was very pleased with how the first pair came out I knitted a second lot of this pattern. I also knitted up Nancy (MIL) some socks for Mothers Day. Just about everytime I see her she has them on. It really puts a smile on my face, to know that someone apart from my Hubby loves my socks.

This is my first time at changing colours for for the heal etc. The first pair I knitted where just a navy with specks of black and blue.

I’m hoping to have the socks finished off before Matt starts his next 4 day shift. He comes off on Monday and starts back on Friday. So I have lots of time to finish them off. I don’t really have that much to go on them.

The knitting seems to be really helping with clearing out my mind.

Wow I’m impressed. I’m still only at scarf level of difficulty lol! My grandpa used to knit socks for all his children because my grandma couldn’t knit!
