business update and stuff *edit**

The sale of the business is still going well. John’s stress level has peaked this week. The original sales agreement (we presented)  said we wanted this all done by 5/31 and it sounds like John’s (old) boss is planning on being done this week. We are still applying for financing from different banks to try to get the best rate possible. It still makes me nervous as heck to think about the giant leap of faith and the risk involved. If this doesn’t work out they will take our house and everything we own.

John didn’t sleep well lastnight and he kept me awake. He was supposed to fire one of his servce techs on Tuesday for screwing up really bad and the boss wouldn’t let him. He had planned on firing the guy as soon as we take over the business but he would rather do it on the boss’s clock.

What stresses me out the most is that we are not getting much communication from our partner (the sales manager)  He tends to leave us out of the loop alot as to what’s going on. It looks as though we have to keep and rent the building for two years, keep the (current) owner’s daughter for two years as an employee and keep the same name. I think it’s wise to keep the same company name because they’ve been in business over 30 years.

It’ll be nice when this is all over. John will fire that lazy tech and hire someone who really wants to work. He will have all summer to get him trained before schools re-open.

My parents kind of got a job in Missourri as state park campground hosts. I think it’ll be really good for them. They get to park their motorhome there for free. They get free laundry and a golf cart to ride around on. The bad news is that they will be leaving in September now and will be gone until April. They will be in Missouri for October through the middle of December and come home for Christmas. After coming home they will travel on to Arizona for January through April. At least they are going to be 10 hours away and we can drive there. It would be a fun family trip. We’ll have to plan on visiting them in November when the kids have time off for Parent teacher conferences.

I start my 7 day rotation tonight with the new team. I am praying that all will work out okay. I pray for one particular co-worker that has an extremely negative attitude. She’s been there 27 years and they stuck her on nights because she’s hard to work with. I don’t want her negativity to rub off on me. You know those types that are always complaining about everything? I will put on my "spiritual armour" before going to work tonight. I love my job and keeping a positive attitude is half the battle.

Well, time to go and get everything in order before going to work tonight. I have to get groceries and finish laundry. I will plan my meals for the next 7 days to save a trip to the store!

Time to try and take a nap so I’m not so tired at work tonight!
