Saturday’s Events…Sunday’s Countdown days

Today…Where to start?

It’s not that a whole lot happened…Just…Maybe my brain is too tired to think. I had great thoughts of how to start this while I was out on my walk. *wonders if it would count as more of a hike*

Guess I’ll just go chronologically.

Sonja didn’t go to bed til 3:30 in the morning. I went to sleep shortly after. She woke me up around…Must of been like 7:30 or so. o.O Phone rang a bit after that. The Pet, wanting to take Sonja out to breakfast. When he got here, I asked him about my Jeep. He said he was going to work on it today…Sonja got to help him with it. Fetch tools and what not.

Well I took a brief nap after they left. Got on and offline a couple times…No one was around. I was feeling a bit bored, and decided it was quite a waste of the spectacular day going on outside. So I got dressed for outdoorness, and decided to head outback.

I neglected outback last summer…I do not want to do that again this year. It is beautiful! I was so happy a couple times out there, I thought I might cry! *laughs* It was just great being out there, in the middle of nature. The sun was warm, the sky blue, the air fresh and clean.

I crossed over the river…Which takes balancing on fallen trees…Though not so hard as could be, as they tops of them are all flat-ish, so it’s just not falling into the river. [I like crossing the river…The best places are on the other side…Just a bit of a pain to get to if one has Critters in toe.] Part of the hiking, I was thinking I would be likened to a mountain goat. *laughs* I was following part of the deer trails along the hill…Have to be a bit surefooted I suppose back there in some places. Others it’s not so bad…There are fallen trees…And other piles from where the stupid loggers were back there and made a mess of things a few years back.

I ran through the woods…Dodging tree branches, weaving in and out of them…I climbed up a fallen tree…Nearly fell off of said fallen tree. My own fault for trying to climb while hanging onto a water bottle. Not one of my brighter moves, I’ll admit. *laughs* Talked to a bit of a tiny spider while up there. Mostly telling it not to touch me. *laughs* Didn’t stay up there too long…As I didn’t want to get touched by the spider. I’m not going to run and scream from them anymore, but that doesn’t mean I want them touching me either.

The place I had picked out for my cabin had to be changed…There are pine trees taller than myself there now! And I know they weren’t there last Spring…They grew so quickly! They are skinny little things, but I would hate to disturb them…Especially when there are other places that are already clear, or nearly so. Those few little trees in the new place I picked out can be easily dug up and replanted off to the edge of things.

I walked past the property line…Okay I ran past the property line…My uncle’s property is back to back with ours, so it’s okay. At one point I made a jump, then realized I jumped over something and went back to make sure I saw right. There was a gardener snake laying in the sun. Probably about a foot long. He was just laying there, not doing anything. I was actually worried he wasn’t alive he was so still. I moved a stick that was laying under him just enough that he did stick his tongue out and let me know, yes, he was alive. Can’t say I blame him for wanting to lay in the sun and soak up the rays. *grins*

I walked on further, leaving him to sun himself. Made my way…Eh…I’m not sure how far. Kind of hard to tell when one is wandering throughout the woods.

On the way back, I kind of hoped to see the little snake again…But he had proceeded to go find a quieter place to be I guess. *laughs*

I took some time just to sit on the river bank, well actually up the hill from it, sitting in the quiet, well…Not so quiet of nature. It had all the loverly sounds of nature.

It got up to 73 degrees today. It felt like Spring/Summer! [They are calling for 82 tomorrow!] I spent, I’m guessing, around an hour out there. Didn’t seem like it though. *smiles*

The Pet showed up later…In my Jeep! *hugs Jeep*
*sigh* Didn’t last long though. *frowns* The shaking thing is gone…Which is quite good. BUT…(Isn’t there always a but?)…The one break is locked up…And he thinks the one front axle may be broke (as it doesn’t have 4×4 currently). So it’s back at Loren’s again…Getting worked on some more. Hopefully some day soon…

The Pet also informed us that they are going to be tearing up the road between Mancelona and Kalkaska this summer. O.o Ahhhh! That is the road to Traverse City! I have to go that way to get to college! [Granted that’s not until fall…Well end of August…But still…Hard to tell how long it’ll take them to get the road fixed up properly.]
Luckily, there are other routes…And since it was such a nice day, and it seemed to be a waste to stay at home and do nothing…We went for a ride to check out the directions…And then on the way back we time how long it took to get back. [About an hour.]

Got home…I laid down on the futon…And proceeded to fall asleep. [I was a bit tired, I guess.]

Okay…Let’s count down days…
[We will go as if it’s the 22nd already…As that is when most people will end up reading this.]
8 days til Raya’s 21st birthday! *hugs sissy* Yay of the ness!
16 days til placement and college orientation.
82 days til Order of the Phoenix!
90 days til Deathly Hallows.
92 days til Raya arrives! *hugs Raya again* *tosses confetti* I can hardly wait!

Oh yeah…And possibly seeming a bit random. 19 days til May 12th…Just because it’s May 12th. *giggles*

*looks around* *pouts* It’s 10 PM. Where is everyones? *blinks*
