Connecting with your inner child

Why bother, for me my inner child was always in trouble, abused and damn right upset the whole time, people keep saying I should re-connect but Why would I want to bring back all the negatives, there were no positives.

I hear people say well what would little Marcus do? well Little Marcus, was always afraid, always scared, never ever happy, always watching his back from the very people that were supposed to be there to watch his back, love and nurture him. Did they? Did they hell.

52 years later I find myself being told “YOU NEED TO RECONNECT!” No I don’t there is nothing but pain and loathing there.

I am better burying that part of me for good.
