Could you love her?

She doesn’t know how to be still with someone. She knows how to smile and lean in but she won’t stay too long. There is a part of her that’s scared to let them get close because then they’ll change their mind. She wants closeness, but she won’t know what to do with it when she has it.

Still.. she wishes someone would stay long enough to learn her. She doesn’t want to feel rushed into, or be told all the things she must change about herself or they will no longer want her. Yet, she doesn’t want someone to disappear when she retreats.

How could one love a woman like her?
