Just another news post
I thought Biden’s farewell speech was underwhelming other than the doom and gloom part. I felt those statements were a bit drastic, in my opinion. I watched it on NBC news and what followed reminded me why I don’t follow mainstream media.
I’m very pleased the FDA has FINALLY decided to make a logical choice to ban Red dye 3 from staple foods and drinks. Why they couldn’t do this the same time they banned it from cosmetics? I also find it interesting they decided to ban it just days before Robert Kennedy Jr. will take over the Health and Human Services Department. Is it because he is on his way in or it is another move to put under Biden’s belt before his administration is officially over? I also find amusing accusations are coming out that most of us have known about for months but it’s suppose to be some big deal. Conspiracy theorist are just crazy people, right?
The food companies actually have until 2027 to make the change to their products. So i don’t believe this ban will happen overnignt. It will take some time.
The United States and Qatar are confirming and celebrating the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas too early. Nothing has been 100% finalized yet. Netanyahu has not confirmed the deal as of yet. There are some details still needing to be sorted out. I get why the US wants to say the deal is made because they want Biden to take the credit for it before he leaves. I do hope the deal will be finalized or this will backfire on the Biden administration. Netanyahu is a bit of a loose cannon, dare I say?
The deal, when completely finalized, will take place this Sunday. It will be a three phase agreement. Phase one involves a 6 week halt to fighting will begin and a start of negotiations on ending the war. 33 out of 100 hostages would be released during that period, but it’s unclear how many of 33 are still alive. Israeli forces are suppose to withdraw from densely populated areas of Gaza. In doing so will allow the Palestinians to return to what’s left of their homes. Humanitarian assistance will increase, bringing in hundreds of trucks into Gaza a day. Can you imagine what that will look like on that day? How I wish I could be there. Lastly for phase one are freeing of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners held by Israel.
Phase two presumably will begin on Day 16 of the ceasefire. The release of all of remaining living hostages including male soldiers. Israeli forces are suppose to withdraw from the Gaza strip thougn Israel has already said they will not agree to a complete withdrawal until Hamas are completely eliminated. In response, Hamas says it will not hand over the last hostages until Israel removes all its troops.
Phase three presumably includes the return of all remaining hostages still in Gaza and Gaza starts their major reconstruction and rebuilding that will take at least decades to complete. And who will pay for it?
Whatever ends up happening these next few days, it’s going to be quite gripping.
