Light Diamonds

In the midst of a whirlwind, there is this.
Raindrops and splashes, amplified
turning into diamonds on the window pane
glittering. Brilliant. Certain.

There’s a life ripe for picking
like mining the deep and finding
answers. questions. realizations.

There is beauty in this fog, this wonder.
There is peace in the certainty of a life well-lived
experienced. Enjoyed. Emulated.

There is nothing more than this –
the sureness of your arms,
your warmth,
your breath
and the simple comfort of home.
