NJM #6 – Overwhelm

overwhelm: To cover over completely – to submerge.

I’ve been encased in this knowledge,
this faith and hope that seems miniscule in the
gaze of new reality. I’ve been washed over,
baptized by the power of adoration
the joy of love, the warmth of acceptance
the rationality of being wide-eyed
with not an innocence, yet a child-like
calm in the ultimate authority of reality.

The world has a golden shine, from the smallest blade of grass
to the corners of the clouds, floating overhead
like blessings, giving shade from a cool, yet powerful sun.
I see everything with eyes and heart open
flowing like river water
content to touch all I see with the edges of a smile,
not fear.

The warmth of change, in the knowledge that it is something to savor
to embrace, enhance and submerge in.
