Update!

Bought beautiful house with lovely views

– in beautiful coastal country town in Southern South Australia

– with the money from the sale of my farm.

Owned it for over 10 years now.

The joy of owning it outright, on my own, never wears off.

After some really horrible (unexpected) behaviour from my only sibling and his wife..

(that I can only put down to an attitude of greed and ethos of entitlements)

– that was all around the situation of my poor little old mum getting advancing dementia and then having to go into a nursing home – and then she passed away 2 years ago..

I unexpectedly found that her original will still held up

And I now also own her 2 blocks of stunning wild bushland – that her father had gifted her before he died.

The last 18 months – since the land titles got transferred – I been quite absorbed in taking over what was her tourist business that she (and Dad – when he was alive) ran on the larger property.

So now I am the very proud owner of “Mikkira Station Koala Sanctuary” .

The Best Place to See Wild Koalas Up Close.

I cannot express the joy this place gives me, adequately.

Excited to have one of my old Open Diary friends planning to come and visit me from her home country of Canada soon.

Although I host international visitors nearly every day- to have someone I’ve communicated with, but never met in person,

coming from so far to meet me is so lovely.
