Beautiful days, beautiful nights

I had three days off in a row, and maaaan was it beautiful outside! Every day: super low humidity, not a cloud in the sky, and between 73 and 78 degrees outside. Gorgeous.

On Tuesday Clint, Colin, and I helped Dave move in to his new place. You guys, that place is sick nice. I love it. It has my dream kitchen- it has a wine fridge (which I promptly stocked with dry rose) and a really expensive gas stove and it’s huuuuge. I love the brick in the great room and the views of downtown are spectacular. The balconies (yep, plural) are huge. Plenty of room for four or five people to sit comfortably. The windows are everywhere. Their condo appears to be the largest size in the building- they have windows on three sides of their place and the condo is at the end of a hallway. Dave and I were doing some math in our heads yesterday and after seeing what smaller condos in that building go for we figure it’s probably worth at least $750,000. At least. I have to get some pictures up here- I feel like I’m not doing it justice.

After getting Dave all moved in, he and I went on a mission for a large white wardrobe (because his room doesn’t have a closet), a love seat, a large white rug, and a coffee table for his room. We went all over to a million different furniture stores and couldn’t find what we were looking for (specifically I thought he should get a white rug and a sleek-looking white loveseat with dark wood legs- his room has dark cherry paneling on the bottom part of the walls with a burnt orange color painted on the wall above the paneling. A tray ceiling is also found in the room- it’s painted burnt orange on the outside and red in the middle. The windows have cherry wood shutters. The only thing that really lightens up thet room was a large white pillar found in the corner of the room. So, I thought that the white would fit in and lighten up the room.).

In a last ditch effort we ended up checking out Ikea and found exactly what we were looking for, After getting everything all set up and in place his room looks awesome. I love his room. Again, I’ll find a way to get pictures sooner or later.

I stayed over at Dave’s place on Tuesday night. Wednesday was spent getting his internet and cable set up, drinking rose on the balcony, and assembling the aforementioned furniture. Sometime around midnight Clint swung by with the girl that he has been seeing. More wine drinking commenced on the balcony. Pizza was ordered.

Clint and the new girl, Kelsey, left sometime around 3am. Dave and I continued to sit on the balcony talking about how much things have changed over the last couple of months, about how much better things have gotten, about how happy we are. We talked about the future and about the past and before we knew it the sun was rising. We didn’t go to bed until 6:30. We slept until 2. After getting out of bed we went out for french toast, bloody marys, and mimosas. Afterward we napped on his couch while the Twins played their game in Boston (and lost) on the television and after waking up sometime around 8 (yeah not good, I know) I finally went home.

I am just so hopelessly in love with that boy.
