Deep Breaths! *Edit

Thirty minutes before I have to start getting ready for work. I have to go a half hour early today because Jen, the assistant manager, set up an apartment showing for 10am sharp, which is when we open and about the time that I usually come walking through the door! I have to turn off the alarms, open the model, make coffee, and get a handle on what the person is looking for before they get to my place of work.

It’s going to be a long day!

I’m in an infinitely better mood today. The physiology exam that I had yesterday went pretty okay, I think. I feel like I actually studied the right stuff, this time. There was a 20 question section of the exam that focused on a bunch of different hormones and what they do in the body… I flew through that part because I’d focused a lot of my studying there. There was one 5pt question that through me off and I’m not entirely sure that I did well on it, but after having gotten home yesterday and reviewing my notes I found that I may very well have answered it correctly. We’ll see how it all goes down on Monday, I guess!

I got paid yesterday afternoon, so my bank account is in better shape. I also kind of ‘found’ an extra $70 in a sense… I went to my grocery co-op and withdrew my membership. I love that place, but I’m not going to need my membership when I’m living in the suburbs. I’m not going to be driving all the way to the city, to my old neighborhood, to buy my groceries. I’ll survive without $15 pure grade B Vermont maple syrup. I’ll survive without organic, local, single source elderberry honey. I’ll survive without buying homemade organic bread or organic smoked salmon or organic anything. I can use the city farmers markets all summer instead and I’ll save a ton of money. I can shop at regular grocery stores and simply read labels to avoid putting things into my body that I don’t want there (like those evil, evil hydrogenated oils). It’s going to be different, but I’ll survive. And I’ll save money in the process.

20 days until Dave and I get the keys to our new place!

Dave is sick. Poor guy. I went over to his place yesterday to watch the baseball game with him and he was all drugged up on Nyquil. He couldn’t breathe because he was all congested and his head hurt. I hope that I don’t get sick!

I need a cup of coffee. I need to buy some coffee. I have no coffee in my apartment right now! Ahhh!

I’m watching the news and my endocrinologist (that’s a hormone doctor…  the doctor that people with diabetes see as insulin is a hormone) was rated the top endocrinologist for women in my state!  I think this is the second year in a row. He really does rock. I’ll never forget how understanding and wonderful he was on the night that I was diagnosed.

Target had a huge sale on coffee this morning, I stocked up! I saw an endocrinologist last month when I got tested for diabetes and he was the most wonderful doctor I’ve ever seen. I’m actually a little heartbroken he’s a specialist because I would love for him to be my primary physician. I’m so glad you had a similar experience. I hope Dave feels better soon!

ryn- well, that is what he’s named after! 😛 But we don’t have Tapatio sauce widely available here, it’s something that Nick’s friend from the US sent him, and following that he ordered a whole heap of it from the US, so no one from Australia really knows why on earth we’ve named him Tapatio! Nick’s endo is also fantastic. It’s always great to have such supportive specialists!
