I hope that my car isn’t covered in dents.

No work for me today! I didn’t get to bed until sometime around 2:30 or 3 last night, but still somehow managed to wake up at 7. Typical.

My aunt Leslie was in town today so we met for breakfast at Hell’s Kitchen. It was so fucking bomb. That may be my new breakfast place. They have sausage bread. And homemade peanut butter and really, really amazing homemade jams. I had the huevos rancheros and it was perfect. I can’t wait to go back.

I’m at home alone right now. Minneapolis looks like this right now:

I just took this video out of my bedroom window. There have been reports of hail up to an inch and a half in diameter.
Also: no, that is not my car. My car is further down the block and parked in the same direction.

Still no idea what I’m doing for my birthday tomorrow. I’d planned on grilling by a lake somewhere with a bunch of friends, but it’s looking unlikely that we will be able to do that. The storms are supposed to let up tomorrow morning but return with a vengeance by mid-afternoon. We’ll come up with something. Perhaps we’ll all get dinner somewhere. I’m in the mood for a laid back birthday, anyway.

Perhaps I’ll open a bottle of wine and watch the rest of the Twins/Mets game. Or sneak in an episode or two of Dexter without Dave. If we try to watch them all together then we’ll never get through them all… he only ever wants to watch it late at night and I always fall asleep about 20 minutes in, meaning that I have to watch it again later.

I feel so incredibly lazy right now! Maybe I’ll just stay in this evening. Dave invited me out- one of his friend’s friends are having a bunch of people over. I don’t like that guy, though. Staying in really is sounding more appealing than going there at this point.
