Venting

 It annoys me that hubby’s parents do not offer to help financially with anything.  We have never asked them for a dime in the 10+ years we’ve been married.
 
His sister is separated from her husband – her choice.  They sold their house a few years ago for over a million and they each got about $640k in profit.  She gets $4,800 monthly in alimony.  About two years ago she called her mom saying she was depressed and may as well kill herself.  His mom’s response was to pay $7k for her to fly to Los Angeles and get a nose job.  Now this crazy sister is moving to Colorado (tomorrow) and going to school which will cost over $40k.  Hubby’s mom told him that she gave his sister $1,000 as a gift since she is going to Colorado.
 
I don’t get it.  They didn’t even buy us a wedding gift.  They said they’d pay for dinner for everyone at an Italian restaurant after we got married and then informed us that they decided against it.  So, we paid for it.
 
Anyway… I just needed to get that out.
