EYES

What color are your eyes? Gray with a hint of green. They can look bluer or greener depending on the light and because my contacts are slightly tinted to be visible in the solution, they look bluer when I wear my contacts than when I wear my glasses.
What color were they when you born? Blue, but they got darker pretty fast.
What color are your lashes? Brown at the base and blonde on the ends.
Do you have bigger pupils than others or smaller? Funny thing about pupils is that they’re made to change size.
Have you ever counted the number of times you blink in a second? No, but that doesn’t make any sense anyway. Most people don’t even blink once per second. Minutes, that’s a different story. But then you’d have to have someone else doing the counting because you’d be too aware of your blinking and it wouldn’t be natural.
Do you wear contacts? Yeah.
Do you wear glasses? Well, I do have to take the contact lenses out occasionally. I never liked the way my face looked in glasses though, which is why I’ve been wearing contact lenses for about 13 years now.
Did you ever have eye surgery? No and I probably won’t. I would LOVE to be able to stay places overnight without having to remember my glasses and contacts and case and solution and all that, but it can go very badly wrong and that scares me.
What was the last thing that poked you in the eye? Myself. Aside from having to put my contact lenses in, I’m something of a klutz and sometimes poke myself in the eye accidentally.
Can you touch your eyes without flinching or does it just gross you out? After 13 years of contact lenses, I should hope so.
How often do you look into people’s eyes when you talk? Occasionally. I don’t avoid eye contact out of shyness or anything, but direct eye contact is also a sign of aggression. I try to strike a balance of gentle eye contact and thoughtfully looking away because eye contact makes some people nervous.
What’s your favorite eye color? I don’t have a preference, actually.
Do you ever just go up to someone and look into their eyes because you want to know their eye color?  No, that would be creepy and weird
Do you wear sunglasses often? Very often. My eyes are ridiculously light sensitive. Generally speaking, people with light eyes have a harder time in bright sunlight than people with dark eyes.
What eye color do you wish you had? I sometimes wish they were grayer or greener. The in-between thing annoys me and I hate it when people just assume that they’re blue.
Can you cross your eyes? Absolutely
Do you roll your eyes constantly? Probably more than I’m aware of. There’s just so much stupidity out there.
What’s your favorite color? Umm… Variable. I wear a ridiculous amount of purple and burgundy. Also teal blue, gray, and black.
What’s the prettiest season and why? It depends on where I am. I love winter when the snow is fresh, but the sun is out and absolutely everything sparkles. I also love the contrast of bright red, yellow, and orange leaves against a blue sky or piled on grass that’s still summery green. I love the riot of color on flowering trees and bushes in the spring. And I love being near the ocean in summer, especially in the morning when it’s still all foggy and gray.
Who’s the hottest or cutest person you ever saw? I dated this guy my sophomore year of college who was absolutely insanely good looking. As in, why is this man not on a movie screen somewhere? Also, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Aishwarya Rai both have faces I could never get tired of looking at.
What was the last thing you read (bookwise)? I’m currently reading "The Tibetan Book of the Dead" and enjoying it greatly. It can be hard to get through at times.

Who was the last person you wanted to see? I was pretty excited to see Lisa, Kurt, and Zach and I’m excited to see my parents and friends here in CT.
What was the last thing you watched on TV? Er… We watched "Chopped" on TV last night. It made me hungry.
Do you read the newspaper much? Very rarely
Do you read magazines much? I read "Glamour" sometimes and I’ll usually find an article or two when Alan gets "Outside" magazine.
Do you read much in general? I always have something I’m reading, even if it means I’m rereading a book I’ve read several times.
What’s the first thing you see if you look over past your computer? A dish towel with a knife on it. I’m sitting at the dining room table.
Did you ever see it hailing? I’ve seen hail a few times, though only once in Connecticut. It happens at least once a summer in Colorado.
Don’t you hate it when you have sleep in your eyes (like the crusty crap)? Yeah.
Can you sleep wit ha light on? I can and have, but I either have to be incredibly tired or experiencing a mixed state and scared to turn it off.
How light is it outside? Light, but gray and raining.
Can you roll your eyes into the back of your head? No, and I don’t plan on trying.

EARS
Do you like your ears? I’ve never really thought about it. I’m told they’re small.
Do you have them pierced? Yeah
How many times? Now just once each. I used to have a second hole in each lobe and one in the cartilage on both sides. I got bored with them and took them out though.
What’s your favorite sound? The ocean
What’s the worst noise in the world? The beep of a smoke detector whose battery is about to die.
Are you listening to any music? No.
What do you hear around you? A clock ticking and Alan breathing.
What’s your favorite song? Terrible question and impossible to answer.
Can you wiggle your ears? No, but I get the muscular concept.
When was the last night you stuck your fingers in your ears so you couldn’t hear something and why? Probably never. I absolutely hated it when people did that when I was little so I never did.
Do you ears have attached lobes or unattached? Unattached
Do your ears get red when your embarrassed or any other emotion roars through your body? My ears do get red when I blush.
What was the last thing someone said to you? "She was supposed to take the train yesterday, but then it didn’t run."
Is it annoying to get that ringing noise in there? Yeah, fortunately it doesn’t usually last long.
Do you hear voices in your head? Not on a daily basis or anything, but I have had auditory hallucinations. They were whispers more than voices.
What was the last thing you heard that you rather didn’t? A really obnoxious clicking sound when I was trying to sleep last night.
What was the last thing you wanted to hear, but never heard it? There’s nothing at all wrong with your car. LOL
What was the last piece of advice you were given? Make sure you drink lots of water.
Did you ever put a rubber band around your ear? I probably have, actually, though it might have been a hair tie.
Go and open the door to outside and what’s the first thing you hear?  Since I have no desire to get up and what with being pregnant, it’s not always easy to do, I’m going to assume that I would hear the rain. Cars aren’t exactly likely because we’re on the end of a quiet cul de sac.

MOUTH
Do you ever stop talking? Not according to Alan, but in reality yes.

Did you brush your teeth today? Yeah
How many times do you usually? Twice
Who are you talking with now? Nobody. I’m doing this and Alan is playing poker on his phone.

Do you talk to yourself? Frequently, though I often address it to the cats or TV.

What was the stupidest thing you said in the past 48 hours? I think I’ve managed to keep my foot out of my mouth for a while.

Do you sing in public? Yeah, I have. I even used to do it quite well. Not so much now unless it’s karaoke.

How many languages do you speak? Just English fluently. I took French, Latin, and Spanish is school and I was learning German online for a while.
Are you loud or quiet? I’m quiet until you get to know me.
Does your mouth reflect your personality on the inside? My mouth or what I say? Because my mouth is small and childish. What I say isn’t.
Who has the coolest/sweetest voice?singing voice? I love to hear Alan’s voice on the telephone, but he’s a terrible singer. My mom has an amazing singing voice.
How do you get your voice heard and ideas out? On here a lot. At least, this is where I organize them.
Do you often write letters? I have and probably will again when Alan deploys. I’m still writing letters to the baby too.
What was the last song you sung to? Something on the radio at the tattoo shop.
What’s your usual greeting to a friend? "Hi" or "Hola"
What’s your usual greeting to an adult? My friends are adults.
What’s your usual greeting on the phone? Hello… I usually make it a question for older people, even though I know it’s them calling.
What’s your favorite gum? I don’t chew gum enough to care.
What’s your favorite word? Interstitial. Also Susquehanna. Yeah, I just drove through Pennsylvania.
What’s your favorite drink? Really cold Coke.
Is your tongue pierced? It was for a while, but not in a long time.
Do you like tongue piercings? I bit it a lot.
How about lip piercings? Nice, but not my style.
Ever have braces, how long? I had braces and a palatal expander for about a year, then got them off and had a retainer for about 6 months. Then I got the braces back on for another 2 years. I got them off right before high school.
Do you have a retainer, for how long? I don’t now, but I had one for about 3 years.
Can you curl your tongue? Yeah. I can even double curl it to make a W.

Do you grind your teeth? No.
Did you have your first kiss yet and with who? Yeah, just a FEW years ago. It was with Brett A.

How many cavities? Only one, but I had to have it filled twice. And it was a baby tooth, so now I have none.

Do you like the dentist? I liked my dentist in CT. He’s a funny guy. But in general, no.
Do you have all four wisdom teeth? No, I had them all removed when I was 17.
Ever have any teeth pulled? Other than my wisdom teeth, just one premolar.
How about a root canal? No and I hope never to need one. I have seriously awesome teeth.
