Arragid
I’m finally managing to kick money’s arse up and down the yard. Yes, I’ve gotten on top of things. I think.
Firstly, I buy stuff with the credit card but pay for it immediately via internet banking. So I have Dylan Moran and Eddie Izzard tickets already paid for, despite them not taking place until September and December respectively. Incidentally, Eddie Izzard in the O2 in Dublin should rock.
Anyway, I also paid off the credit card, paid for all my bus tickets so far this month (I keep buying them online and not transferring the money but not in Frugal February), actually saved this month and managed to go out and get pissed last Saturday (watching Ireland serve France’s derrieré to them on a plate). The only thing I haven’t transferred money for is my fraking expensive train tickets. Ok, Irish Rail now have sexy trains with plugs for each seat (apparently). But 63 return to Killarney is painful! So feck dat shit, that’s coming out of next month’s pay.
Dinner is sorted for Valentine’s night. I like to think I don’t go in for all that hearts n’ chocs bollocks but it can be nice. So we’re going for a fancy meal in a fancy restaurant in Killarney. Which should cost feck-all, thanks to a Christmas present we’ve yet to use of a voucher.
The laptop is annoying me these days. Ok, I managed to download episodes 1-10 of season 5 of The Office (US version, obv). But despite this, it goes all apeshit at the drop of a hat. It’s heavy, slow, has a mere 40 gigs of hard drive and shrinking rapidly and regularly has the PC equivalent of a brain fart (gibberish, as far as I know).
None of this bothers Catherine, who NEVER encounters any of these problems, what with her having the same effect on laptops as Jesus had on lepers. However, as far as I know, the lepers didn’t suddenly catch leprosy again the minute someone tried to open another Explorer window. So that’s where the Jesus v Catherine comparison ends.
Jesus, I have to collect Catherine!!! Good byeeeeeeeeeeeeetch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111
Lmfao @ Jesus and Catherine, saints in their own right 🙂 And sounds like you’re really on top of your finances, I salute you for that!

Hehe. I just got approved for my first credit card and am planning to do what you do- pay everything on it then pay it off online every month. Will prob end up abusing it though :-/

Guess where I’m typing this? That’s right, on our perfectly functional laptop. That despite being on all night and left to hibernate for hours is working just fine. So, y’know, :p

You can start working on my finances so now that yours are in good shape… I’m looking at a 12 month plan to get back in order. I’ll have a gander at your laptop next time i’m over, a little love and care and it’ll be good as new.
