Fibber’s is a slightly more hardcore place on Parnell Street here in Dublin. I went there tonight cos my old college friend Cat was 21. She’s cooool. Embryo’s friend Ruth was there, she’s really nice. Well, she is to me anyway. The place was cool, it’s known as a kind of more heavier place than your average DubClub and it lived up to that part. It’s definitely that. What’s more intriguing however is that I went on May Day. May Day is known as the one day socialist folk get all rowdy and smash the fuck out of a McDonalds in a protest against capitalism. And it’s not too far-fetched to suggest that those involved in such protests would enjoy a night in Fibber’s. And yet that place, with it’s anti-establishment vibe, felt more restrictive than any place I’ve ever been to. In your average DubClub, you can kinda hang around the dancefloor and do your own thang. In Fibber’s, you do their thing or nothing.

That’s kinda sad really. It’s a nice place otherwise, everyone’s really friendly an there’s a courtyard kinda thing goin on. And Cat snogged sexy Audri, which was definitely the highlight of the evening. They both really went for it. Girls passionetly kissing each other. Honestly, if I had a camera…….

Anyway, have to catch the 2am Nitelink home now so, as Yowie would say, laterz………….
