Current Read.
I barely read the paper anymore, too depressing. It’s important to remember that just because the country you’ve grown up in, lived in, loved in and hope to die in is falling apart, you can still stay happy by appreciating what’s good in your life right now. It’s apparently how the East Germans did it.
Current Music.
Arcade Fire, following their fucking amazing gig in the O2 in Dublin last Sunday. They melted my ears with their greatness.
Current Food.
Korma.
Current Drink.
Becks Vier; bought 20 440ml cans of it for 16 last night. Gorgeous beer.
Current Outfit.
Jeans, sexy slip-ons, long-sleeve t-shirt, 30 Rock Dr Spaceman t-shirt, hoody. It’s a bit cold.
Current Anticipation.
Work drinks tomorrow night, it’s the first official ones in 2 years. Not sure what to expect of it, huge management changes last month and our new English CEO is ingratiating himself with us. Never mind the fact that as we’re still profitable (and the company is 100 years old this year), a piss-up is long overdue.
Current Bane of my Existence.
Ice. It keeps complicating the logistics of getting stuff done.
Current Gratitude.
We’re hanging in under all the gloom.
Current Excitement.
Christmas. Although with my parents in Lanzarote and sister in New Zealand, I will be spending it with in-laws. Which will be nice, especially since I’ve never had Christmas Day with my wife of 3 years. Who I’d been going out with for 5 years before that. So yeah, 8 years and we’ve never had Christmas together. Aren’t we weird?
Current Upcoming Travel.
Kerry for Christmas, which starts on 22 December – earlier than usual.

RYN: Actually…not hugely 🙂 Is that your job? they were lacking coming in from the Clare side, I don’t think I needed to go into town, there’s a V junction at one point and I went left down Tyrconnell instead of right towards RDS, a sign there would be helpful 🙂 Although good close to the RDS, after I went into town and was going back out towards the N11 (I know RDS from a Wexford angle)

ryn: yup she sure did! I’m more impressed by her by the second, when I looked up clips of her on youtube I came across an Italian gig of hers and she was speaking Italian to them. Obviously I don’t know how good it was, but it got a huge crowd reaction so it couldn’t have been too bad!
