Day 18 – 16

Actually the score was 16 – 18 because Munster were playing at home but you get the idea. Ireland’s southern province played all of New Zealand, the All Blacks, in a game of rugby union football (like the football they play in America, only played by men) at their newly-rebuilt stadium, Thomond Park, and led for most of the game. This despite New Zealand’s fearsome reputation as The World’s Best Rugby Team. Munster might have won, were it not for a last-minute try from the All Blacks. A pity, but at the same time a relief. Munster fans still talk about their victory over the All Blacks, 30 years ago. They’re worse than English soccer fans mouthing on about 1966. Let it go, lads.

On the bus to the Bourne now, Catherine’s making me write an entry. It’s strangely-mild out, over 10 degrees in November is odd. Although it was kinda like that last year. I’d prefer if it was raining or cold when we leave on Saturday, it’d feel so good to be leaving behind shitty weather.

Work is shit-ish these days. I have no drive to do anything anymore. I fear that the motivation I’m lacking may only come at 4.59pm this Friday, when stuff simply must be done. Til then, I need to sleep.

Jebus yeah, if they’d won that match there’d be more plays churned out. Munster rugger bugger bores!
