Meeting OD people is easy

Despite my since-May self-imposed news blackout on all my meetings with Open Diary people, I simply must mention to you all what a great time I had at what was effectively Sixtyten’s leaving do in Dublin this evening. He’s going to college in France at the end of the month and Cassie, Embryo and myself turned up in Mahaffey’s for a departure drink with M Ten. And it was the nicest night out I’ve had in months and I really have to thank you all for a lovely evening.

Cassie: You’re wonderful and I’ve always said it, if not quite expressed it but that’s because I’m a prick.

Embryo: You’re the most balanced person I know, and that’s a good thing. I think.

Sixtyten: You’re the person I never would have met were it not for OD and despite the fact that I seem a little perplexed around you, it’s only because I can’t keep up sometimes. You the man and I really do admire you. And your speakers.

All in all it was better than going to a seafood disco and pulling a mussel.

*tips hat* Glad you had a good time. I know I can be a bit, eh, full on sometimes. Really must learn to control it.

It’s a little odd meeting people who read about your life, isn’t it? Speaking of which, we’re due a drink soon. Lots to catch up on.

hmmm hopefully I’ll be comin’ o’er there next year, you all are gonna have to meet up with me. One thing not in all the travel brochures I got tho….do yins have daycares o’er there? lol. I’m gonna have my daughter most of the time…but since it’ll just be me and her I could really use a daycare for one, maybe two days. Ya know iffin yins got one?

I’m doing my first OD/internet meeting on Saturday. I hope my mother’s wrong about these things. Did you get over the “In comparison, Dublin is s hit” syndrome?

Hee hee. Mahaffy’s. Deadly. I used to know one person on OD but we fell out when she started commenting on stuff i wrote in public, and then demanded I talk about it, even though I didn’t want to. Are these people you knew before OD, or that you met on OD? Dead on!

Didn’t happen last weekend. It’s suppose to meet this weekend. Meeting ratgirl in town. Like most fun things in life, my parents will not be informed!
