Tis the Season

A week on the medicated shakes and I notice a boost in my energy level, improvement in the quality of my sleep, and a smoothing in the texture of my skin.

I am not hungry like I feared I might be, so I am happy about that.

Thanksgiving with my family was nice, slow and pleasant.  My daughter cooked a feast without stress and her bird was succulent.  I am amazed at the poise she exudes in the kitchen.  Her boyfriend Michael was relaxed and fun and a wonderful time was had by all.

I was so pleased.

Last night I attended a concert of The Tenors.  Tonight I am going on a cruise on Lake Washington to view the lighted ships for Christmas, and Friday I am going to a tree lighting winter fest.

I actually have 2 dates Friday.

I am back in Seattle for a week and then will fly to Kansas again, this time for Matthew’s college graduation.

He’s focused on getting finished, getting a job, and getting out of Kansas.  I expect he will want to come here over Christmas.  My sister and her boyfriend are coming and with Matt it will make a full house.

Me with no decorations, no china.  I will not go buy any new, either.  We’ll hang some lights on my mahogany tree and eat on my everyday dishes.

HoHoHo.

So wonderful you all get to spend this time together !

For me, getting together with my family is THE main thing, and everyday dishes work just fine. I have only everyday dishes.
