Divorce Final

So Thursday, headed up to the Courthouse and waited anxiously to see if my lawyer was going to show up, as I had only gotten a letter and had no clue. So the partner of the lawfirm shows up as the lawyer who was wokring my case was temp with the lawfirm and well that was that. He went over what was going to happen and went to tell the clerk we were there.

So, we wait for the judge to show up, I mention to Justin that while I want to be one of the first I don’t want to be the very first.

What do you know, the judge comes in, we all stand, we all sit, and as soon as I sit the judge calls my case first… figures. Well I get up there my lawyer asks all the questions he said he would be, the judge looks at the papers while we are doing so, and she looks at us and says, 1 day.

I get my paper work with thursday’s date, one day means it’s finalized on friday, and that was that.

As of Thursday July 6th 2006, I am divorced, and as of Friday July 7th, I am finalized. WOOT.

Yay!
