February already

First of all let me say I’ve been back at the IRS since the 24th of January. I got a slightly better job with them as a Tax Examiner in the Document Perfection department. This basically means that if you forgot to add something together right, didnt put the your SSN down correctly, or it got imputted into the IRS computers wrong, or you just plain out didnt mail in all the forms I get to fix it, let you know what was wrong or request those documents. Im still not the auditor (Not something I want to be anyhow). Its a five week training class and let me tell you the strangest mistakes get made. (Let me give you my friends a bit of advice. Write neatly, make sure you put your SSN, your spouses SSN, and your kids SSN correctly, and double check it. Also if you have to fill out a form because it says you need to on the 1040 do so, if you don’t understand it please please see a tax preparer, & double check everything they put. If you use a tax program or preparer, be warned that if you put XXX’s into the direct deposit boxes so you can write them in, and you white it out and do so, you wont get direct deposit anyhow. One of the security checks we have to be sure its really you and not your preparer, or a mail clerk or in general anyone who see’s your tax return through the system as it gets processed.)

Im learning a lot about so much, I can fill out mostly every form so far, although some of them are extremely not user friendly. Now mind you Im not being taught tax laws, just what goes where and what not, so I can’t tell you what you can and can’t claim or deduct or get credits for. I can only tell you what form you might need for what kind of income or deduction or credit, and how to fill it out.

ok, off of work. I really planned to keep up with this monthly if I can’t get a weekly update in, but it seems Im failing in that. Burned out on my Larp group, to much drama so Im taking a hiatus, this includes canceling my trip to New Orleans. I’ll make better use of the money. Dad bought me and Justin a new mattress set, and it gets delivered tomorrow. Its one of the expensive kinds. So yea, my back and shoulders will love it. Really wish I could get it today since Im not going to be into work (not feeling well, womanly pains and such) but of course its gonna be delivered tomorrow between 10am and noon. Will kinda make my day slightly rough for work tomorrow, hopefully taking some vitamins today and tomorrow will help the feeling of exhaustion go away.

My friend Theresa is getting married, so sometime this summer Justin and I will take a drive into Tennessee for the wedding. Ther, is gonna have me make candles for the wedding, most likely the price of them will cover the cost of the trip. Depends on how big a wedding she is going to have and how many candle center pieces she’s going to need. I think since its summer I’ll have to remember to put in extra bee’s wax into the soy candle wax to keep it slightly harder and able to stand a bit of summer heat.

When I did my taxes it was nice to see the money I’ve made from my business was $500, too bad I spent that plus about $800 getting it up and going. This year I should make a bit of profit since I don’t have to buy so many supplies. I also have someone who will consign them in his store he’s starting up, candles and jewelry a like. Will be nice to get my name out there and get orders purchased.
