Happy Chinese New Year

Its the year of the Ram. Intersting isnt it? I kinda wish I knew a bit more about Chinese astrology. I’ll make that my interest for February.

I’ve decided that in 2003 Im going to take a topic and learn as much about it as I can for each month. I missed January’s because well it was just a few days ago I decided this. So now in February, in honor of Googles cute banner for the Chinese New Year, Im going to study chinese astrology and what it means to their culture. I know its a big deal and that certain years mean certain things. I just have no clue yet. If I really like it I’ll take on a few extra weeks or so, if there is a lot of information I find and want to know more of.

I’ll keep you updated in what I learn. I’ll be hogging the public library for lots of books.

Off that topic though, I applied for a position in my LARP group. Its an out of character position, I wont get paid, but it’ll be good volunteer work. I applied for all three of the assistant domain coordinator jobs, because I feel I could actually do well in any of them. Im hoping to get the Charities position more than anything, but I think Im more qualified for the publications assisitant. I’ll let you know if I get any of them and which one. Should be intersting.

I have no idea who applied to any of them, and Im hoping that more than I just applied to all of them. So that if one position has only me applying for it our Domain Coordinator wont just put me there because no one else wanted the job. Blah that would suck, I’d rather be where she feels I would work the best, instead of just wehre she could fill the gap. I trust Kristin to do a good job though.

I changed chapters in the Domain, which was a pain in my ass because Dennis flat out told me the reason I wanted to change wasnt good enough. See, you have to have the ok from two chapter coordinators to change, the one you are in and the one you are changing to. Well the one I was in was Dennis’ and he hates me. Ive not mentioned how much of an ass he is to me have I? ::snorts:: Im sure I have recall the dishes entry from previous? Yeah, Dennis, the ass roommate. Anyhow the fact he dislikes me and Im not comfortable with being in his chapter anymore was my reason. He denied me. Fucking jerk. So I take it to the next step up, I talk to Kristin, who as Domain coordinator(DC) is kinda like the boss above Chapter Coordinators(CC), (If you belong to the Camarilla Club for LARP’ing, you’ll understand all my terms). Well I’ve been talking to Kristin about this because she was the CC for her chapter before becoming DC and it was her chapter I wished to change to. So, now as DC she’s kinda the boss over CC’s and she sat down with Dennis and delt with it. I do not know what happened, nor do I want to, I just know I am part of her Chapter now and Doug is their new CC. So I belong to a chapter I feel more comfortable with. Yeah. I still LARP, I was thinking of quitting if I couldnt change. Now here comes the waiting, Im going to have to wait to see how Dennis behaves outside of the game at home towards me. Im sure he’ll stew over it for awhile then say something to Justin then I’ll find out and he’ll start being a dick again. Blah. Did I mention how much I do not like a lot of Missourian men? They seem very well sexist. Im a VERY outspoken female, grew up in California and well its obvious that Im way more forward than most women here.

I’ve said about the dishes so I wont repeat what Dennis told me about that. Its just yeah.
