Happy Samhain!

Halloween has been one of my favorite holidays since I can remember. Even during my own inner growth and change about my spirituality I always felt it was more than candy and costumes. Unfortunately Jusitn finds no joy in any holiday. Once I get my health insurance I’m really going to consider getting some therapy with him as a couple, not just my own, although I will have a counceler of my own too. I’m not sure how this will work out, he’s very anti mental health doctors. Not for me, he sees when they are helping, he just doesn’t like them for him.

OHHH FRACK.. its cold today. Sorry random interruption.. I’m just sititng here with numb fingers and toes.. the temprature went from 74F yesterday to 45F today.

Well I asked Justin what he wanted me to make for dinner today, and suprisingly I got enchiladas. Not very fall harvesty (I was thinking he might go with a baked ham.. or baked chicken..), but well I guess in some cultures using corn tortilla’s can be part of the celebration of harvest, after all if you had a good corn harvest you’ve got your totrillas. I’m glad he really enjoys my enchiladas, wish I knew how to make homemade refried beens, I might have to drag that recipe out of my dad’s sister. But for today we’ll get some in a can. It’s 1pm (I feel I slept ages..) and I rolled over at what my clock said was 1030am meaning it was 930 (we’ve not changed the alarm clock yet, nor the one in the car) so I curled up in my down comforter as I said it got cold today, and fell back asleep only to get up at noon.

So I gotta get Justin up out of bed.. I’ve got grocery shopping to do, I have the chicken, and some beef (he wants both kinds tonight) but I need to get some stuff, like tomato sauce and enchilada sauce (I mix them so they aren’t too spicey) Chips for dipping, refried beans, rice, mmm spanish rice. Might look into getting some avacadoes to make my own quac, but it’s unlikely, and although it’ll mess with my stomach some sour cream, olives to sprinkle on top, corn tortillas, and cheese, can’t forget the cheese. WOOT. Have I mentioned I love making this meal, its so time consuming as you start early so the chicken can be boiled.. but its awesome.

So off to the store.

Ohh I go to work for sure on voting day Nov. 6th!!

Don’t forget to vote.. get them republicans out! (yea Argent always differences in our political views 😛 )

I find that people either love Halloween or hate it. I am one of those who has never been into the holiday. As a kid I never wanted to dress up, never got into it. And the Chicken sounds good!! Can I come for dinner!! And thanks for the reminder to vote. Yes get those republicans out of office. George Bush scares me. *I know its not the presidential. but that won’t come soon enough!
