My Valentine with Simba
Around Christmas time the Lion King came back out to be played on the big screen. Not the regular big screen but the GIANT big screen. The Imax theater. I had started dropping hints last weekend to help Justin figure out what to do for Valentines day. I reminded him of my favorite flower, my favorite restaurant, a cd I wouldnt mind having, small hints. Of course I should have figured I wouldnt need to drop any hints.
Did I get any of the things I dropped hints for? Um, well no. But I did get something way better. Justin remembered around Christmas time I mentioned I wanted to go see Lion King at the Imax theater. So that’s what I got for Valentines day. ::smiles:: It was awesome to see one of Disney’s best movies ever (and my favorite) on the Imax.
Now after when we got home Mike and Kelly wanted us to join them at DareDevil. Now I dont really like Comic Book movies (with the exception of X-Men) but I was going to go because it was a movie Justin really wanted to see, and how could I deny him since I just got to see the all time best Disney movie at the Imax. So we head off to the regular theater. I kept saying there was no way we were going to get tickets (Kelly had bought theirs the day before). It was a. friday, and b. Valentines day. Kelly kept saying exactly its valentines day no one is going to go see DareDevil. I shrugged it off but knew it would be sold out. Which it was when we got there, the parking lot was fuller than normal (yes, the perfect and easiest valentines date: Dinner and Movie, its fail safe). So the showing they had tickets for was sold out but the 9:15 wasn’t. Then Mike, Kelly & Justin stood there for like 10 minutes trying to decide if Mike and Kelly should exchange their tickets for the later show. None of them would decide for them, they all kept saying, its up to you, its really up to you… blah so when Mike started dropping hints that he’d rather not be with me and Justin I just said “fine” and walked off. I was irritated that no one could flat out decide or say what they truely wanted. Irritating as all hell. So half way back to the car Justin catches up with me.
On the way home I kept thinking of Tennile and probably the easy and carefree day they got to spend together. But I suddenly thought about it. Sure Justin didnt mind driving across town and back for someone else for their Valentines day, despite the fact I wanted to spend the day with him and him alone, at least I dont have Dennis as my boyfriend. I dont mean it in the manner of the fact I dont like Dennis as a roommate, but I’ve seen the horrible things he does behind Tennile’s back. Like the fact he tried fucking my friend Liz, who kept turning him down because she was dating BJ at the time. Like the fact he broke up with Tennile for a weekend just so he could try and screw some other girl. Yeah, if I had to have a boyfriend who felt he had to do super cool things with me on Valentines day, I’d be worried.
Instead I got to see the Lion King, simply because my boyfriend knew that I mentioned two months agao (and not since mind you).
So yes, I may have shared Justin for yesterday, but at least I know his heart is truely in the right place, not just on Valentines day, but the rest of the year as well.
That was so sweet of your boyfriend. I love The Lion King myself–it’s one of my favorite Disney movies.

I was in Chicago the day their Lion King play (or maybe it was just the IMAX show) tickets went on sale. They had barracades up all over the place to corral people in the lines. Insane. I didn’t realize it was such a big deal. I liked the movie and all, but not enough to stand in a line 4 blocks long. 🙂

Clark has he very sweet moments as well… I’m thrilled to have him. And it seems you have those same sorts of feelings for Justin. Hugs
