Random thought

It really bugs me when people who choose to have children (regardless if it was planned or not) make it seem as if it is a chore to take care of them. Do they not realize that children pick up on this attitude and it can affect their feelings? I know if I heard my mom say that “when she’s 18, that’s it, she’s getting out” That would freak me out, no matter if I heard it at 8 or 16.

Next is the manner in which they talk about their children… I know people say taking care of children is like having a 2nd job 24 hours a day… but man if I heard my mom say that then complain about having to go to any other kind of job and hating having to have any kind of job….

Heh. There we go again with the childs feelings.

Children are smarter than they seem, give them the credit they deserve. Love them fully not because you have to because you are Mom, but because you GET to, you’ll truely see the difference you’ll make in that childs life.
