Site work

I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned that I was offered the position of ARST Web Presence, meaning Im the person in charge of doing my LARP groups Regional Storyteller Web Site. I’ve been working on this project for awhile and so far its coming out really nice. Rather the work I’ve done on it is nice, the idea’s my RST wants are not always the best. Since this year in our game chronicle is called Year of Fire; because we are playing out White Wolf’s end of the world books; well some of his ideas like the region being on fire as a graphic and animated fire… yeah, ick. But well I was able to make the rest of the site look nice other than the main ‘splash’ page. If you are curious as my work you can go see it at RST Site

I’ve had some requests with this site that I’ve never had to deal with before, like javascript menu bar that slide out to the side, similar to what OD has at the top here, except mine are on the left side and move out to the right instead of at the top and move down. Not sure if OD used javascript though, pretty sure they didnt. Also had to find a good javascript to do password protection on a page yet when someone looks at the source code wouldnt know what the password is since javascript just puts it out there in the open. Found a site that will give you the javascript code and have it encrypted based on the password you pick. For now this will work until I can find some time to get into PHP. Hopefully we wont need to change the password, because it means changing so much of the javascript and site behind the password protected pages.

So as I sit here working on the site, I have on cartoon network’s adult swim, and SeaLab 2021 was on and my cat watched the entire 20 minutes of the show. ::laughs:: I think it had to do with the fact it was all “uh-oh” spoken over and over again. Personally I’ve never really liked SeaLab, but I do like Adult swim so I put up with the 20 min’s of retardness, and now I see that at least Bear watched it.

I ended up going to the doctor on Friday, freakin hell medicine is expensive, the dr, knowing I had to pay for everything myself not with insurance gave me all my decongestions in sample packs, and 6 days of my antibiotics in sample packs as well. The other 4 days (total of 8 additional pills) went to prescription that cost me $53… freakin hell, for 8 pills. Yeah, thankfully I didnt have to go and buy all 10 days worth, imagine the cost of 20 pills instead of just 8.

Side note, Bear is watching the cartoon on right now as well, I think its Aqua teen or something, the one with Milkshake, Fry, and Meatwad or something. My cat is silly.

I’ve not yet really done anything for my birthday, but I think this will be ok this year. We are going to have a BBQ/Party for Justin’s birthday. Hope it’ll be fun. If I didnt just have to spend over $100’s to see the doctor and get my prescription, then I paid for our car insurance, $150, I feel like crap because all the money I had been saving to get plane tickets to california for July. Blah. Oh, well. I’ll just start to kick in some serious overtime at work and see what I can get in the way of extra money.

For now that’s all I’ve really been up to..
