I took the scenic route home today. It was about a 3 hour drive. Beautiful rural Virginia, good music, some Mountain Dew, and a full tank of gas. I was set.
I went to Yorktown to see Rachel and her family. Rachel’s sister, Shannon, is deaf. She wasn’t born that way. She lost her hearing when she was…11, or 12…I think. So she can speak very clearly, which is nice because it means I don’t have to know how to read sign language. But I’m learning bit by bit anyway.
So far I know:
Hungry

Thank you
Weird
Shit!
If I really want to say something to Shannon, I write it down. Which I like doing. It really makes me think about what I’m going to say before I say it. Maybe I should start writing everything down. Me and Rachel are gonna hang out with her for New Years. 🙂
We also both realized that when I say "Both" I put an L in it. So I say it like, "bolth". *signs weird*
I feel like I have so much more to say, but I’m too distracted.
Yayyy you are awesome!
