Instructions to Candidates

Things suck right now. Indeed, they *suck*. One of my close friends rang me in hysterics the night before last beause his stepdad had just beaten up his mum. He had to call the police. 3 policemen wrestled him to the ground. He had to look after his little sister while this was all going on. His stepdad was taken to prison, his mum ended up with bruises but luckily she wasn’t too terribly hurt physically. She has a bad black eye though. Well, his cousin went round, he got off the phone to me while they got things a bit more sorted. He rang me back at about 11.30pm and we chatted on the phone for an hour or so. My god. One thing that made me cry was the fact that whilst he was on the phone to me, I could hear him squirting carpet cleaner as he was trying to get rid of the mud marks from when the police wrestled his stepdad to the ground. *sighs* He’s obsessive about things being clean. Because of all the arguments and money problems, they put their house on the market this week. All he said about it was "We’re trying to sell this house…how would they expect to do it with all this mess?" Poor sod. Me and Zoe took him to town the next day…I skived a psychology exam with him. We bought him his christmas present, went to lunch, I bought him a cafe mocha before Zoe met us. Anyway…I guess I’ll shut about that. I don’t really want to talk about it.

I had the weirdest dream last night. I dreamt that I got an email about my uni stuff. I’ve applied for 6 courses. I was, at first, upset that I had only been accepted to 5 of  them, the 6th wasn’t even mentioned. Then I looked closer and realised that they were all from the wrong unis, a couple of them I had never even heard of. I carried on looking and noticed that they were for the wrong courses too. 4 of them were applications to courses about supplying disabled access to buildings…*gets slightly confused* One of them was a mixture of that and 2 other things but I can’t for the life of me remember what. *shrugs*

Last night I went out with work. We went for our christmas meal. The veggie option wasn’t the nicest thing you could imagine. Onion soup was gorgeous. Dessert would have been nice if it wasn’t for the chocolate sauce over it. I hate chocolate sauce. Got some cool photos. Afterwards, all the oldies *giggles* (OK, they’re not that old..none of them are even 40…) went home and me and Laura took Emily to Chicagos for the first time. She’s never been out on the town. She’s only just turned 18. She’s going out tonight with her mum so we gave her a little preview. *giggles* she was scared at first but I think she had a good time. I got home about 1 i think. It was quite cool.

I can’t be bothered to write anymore. Ending the entry on a high note feels good. Good time last night. *smiles*
