“I was just feeling too tied down in a long-distance relationship, you know? Just being committed to one person? And Ben knows this….but my boyfriend doesn’t, yet. I just can’t bring myself to tell him over the phone, you know? But anyways, so Ben and I have been working towards a getting-to-know-you dating type of relationship. So, yeah.”

Yes, well. Coming from the point of view of the boyfriend who is about to get shat upon, it really sucks. And I truly cannot comprehend how one rational, emotional human being can do something like that to another. Because there is no feeling more horrible than that first realization. It sucks, majorly.
