Ahoy, Diary
It has been some times since I have written. We had big storms last week and didn’t lose anything except our bedroom window fan. Not an issue. Oh yea, I guess we lost our motuim. Hubby had to go out and buy a new one late Wednesday night. I just bought the last one last year before Christmas. But we don’t want to have to pay our deductable so we just paid for it ourselves. Worked alot last week so didn’t have time for much. The University here had their homecoming and so we went to the football game. Then off to the bar & grill for dinner and back to the neighbors for a fire. Some of our neighbors went to the parade at 10. We didn’t feel like getting up early to attend so we just hooked up with them at the football game. It was a beauiful day about 75 degrees and sunny. It was windy but the warmth made up for it. Lots of college kids and they all wear shirts that has something to do with drinking. You would think they would support their school and have that UWEC shirt on. I am terrified to send my kid to college next year.
Not much else happening around here. The leaves are all but changed and falling all the time. It was so pretty for about three days and then we got so much wind it just knocked them all off. Now they are turning brown and the trees are getting bare. The colors just never seem to last that long. The houses at the end of the block have all their leaves gone but the trees on our boulevard is just starting to change. It’s funny how they all change at different times.
I got a digital camera so I am going to have to figure out how to post pictures on here. I already messed it up. The little memory stick that you put in the computer. I forgot to put it in the adaptor and got it stuck in the laptop. Needless to say hubby was not happy with me. He did get it out after much swearing and now the reader doesn’t work. OOpppss, I guess I will have to go and buy and adaptor of some type for the laptop.
Well I have laundry to do and bathrooms to clean and more cleaning since I didn’t do much last week. And the day is half over already.
Enjoy fall…. ya’ll!

I was wondering how you fared in the storm! We got some rain, but heard you guys got it pretty good down there. Not too many leaves left on the trees up this way either. Can’t wait for the snow to arrive on Wednesday! NOT! 🙁

I’ve never been up in the “Northwest Territories,” but it sounds interesting. And you do have Lake Michigan. I grew up between lakes Ontario and Erie on the Niagara, but I’ll bet it is milder there than up your way. I didn’t get out today again, but I think our peak period will be later than the 12th as the expected peak date for colors near Lake Champlain. I’d like to own a plane and fly around the north and keep tabs on autumn everywhere. I do love this time of year and even into November when all the leaves are down but one can see so much more of the land and buildings. Wonderfully stark.
