Finally a snow day!

I can’t believe the schools called a snow day today.  But ok, I will fall for that.  Even though our street still isn’t plowed from the 5" of snow we got last night the main roads are very good.  They school superintedant must have thought the kids needed a break and then gave them the day off.  The roads are really find, the sun is out and I hope the sun melts the snow on the streets.  Well the main streets since our street will probably not get plowed.  We never get plowed out unless we have alot of snow.  They may come about 10 tonight and plow the snow back in our driveway.  That’s if we are lucky.

I got to leave work early today since it was so dead.  Every hour we take a total in our till of all the people we have waited on.  It was 19 at 1 p.m.  After 4 hours we only had 19 people, so the bossman said I could leave if I wanted to.  I had already cleaned everything I could and decided it was time to leave.  I headed next door to talk to my friend and she was bored to but had to stay and do a couple of haircuts before she left.  So I have the day off tomorrow and don’t go back to work until Wednesday.  That feels good and I am looking forward to that.

I did shovel a bit when I got home for the neighbors.  One neighbor across the street are on vacation in Mexico and their daughter is home.  Don’t think she will shovel though.  And the other neighbors are elderly and I like to help them out.  They are wonderful neighbors and I enjoy their company alot.  Nothing better than having nice neighbors and having a great time with them.

The kids are glad to have another day off of school.  I guess they could use the break, but then again who knows what March will be like.  Last year we had alot of snow in March.  This snow should melt if the sun stays out for the next few days.  It’s supposed to get cold too, so maybe it will stick around for awhile.

I am off to make soup and Dr. Phil House comes on in a bit.  Have a great day!
