Graduation Ceremony
The graduation ceremony went off really well. I only panicked at one point and that was 20 minutes after it started. I thought there is no way I am walking out and missing this, go away panic attack, go away! And then I was fine. I didn’t even take my meds except for the night before. It was extremely crowded and we got a seat only three rows up. I had to think of my parents trying to get up and down those bleachers. Glad it was close any further up and I would have paniced and had to leave I am sure.
The whole ceremony was only 1 1/2 hours long which was nice it was getting hot in that gym. They were done talking by 8 it started at 7 and then started announcing names and we were walking out at 8:30 and back home by 9. Alot of congestion in the hallways but it worked out and we met up with my son. I am extremely proud of him and how well he has done the last few years. I only hope it continues thru college. I told him his girlfriend has expensive taste so he is going to have to make alot of money.
They had an all night party at school and then went to an indoor amusement park for the rest of the night. They had prizes and breakfast back at school and the kids got home around 6:30 a.m. Of course he and his girlfriend slept all day. But it sounds like they had a great time.
I am proud of both of them and hope they both do well in school when they go off and figure this strange world out on their own. That will be a very hard day and I am sure you will hear from me then. I am off to get gas for the lawn mower and have my son start mowing.
Have a good one.
Me
Having a good talk with yourself worked. Glad all went well in the hot gym. It must be all school graduations are hot. And when outside it usually rains. I ‘member my feelings as a dad when they graduated from hs and then from our university here in town. It’s a big step up finishing school. And leaving the nest. Good luck, mother.

The schools around here have this new thing where the kids (and I think their parents) have to sign a contract saying that they won’t hollar out at the graduation ceremony when their kid’s name is called. I guess it disrupts the ceremony, and the next kid in line to have their name called out, their parents can’t hear their name being announced, etc. There was one girl who didn’t get her diploma

because some of her guests were yelling out her name and Congratulations, etc. It wasn’t the poor girl’s fault, but she still hasn’t received her actual paper diploma yet. Just wondering if they were sticklers (or jokers) like that up there where you are? Hugs,
