Graduation Party

I am proud to announce that the graduation party was a huge success,  Everything was perfect.  It was 77 degrees and the sun was shining the whole day.  There was a little breeze.  Everyone got here a little early to bring their food and it was just a wonderful time.  Almost everyone that I sent an invite to attended.  I feel bad because a couple of people  came that I didn’t get a chance to talk to.  I was walking around talking to everyone and some people can just start babbling.  I just didn’t want to sit and listen to them when there were other people waiting to be addressed.  It sounds a little lame but it happens.  One of my friends wanted me to watch her grandson while she smoked.  I kindly told her I had to talk to some of the guests.  I hope she understood. 
The best part of the night was when my good neighbors started to clean up for me.  They washed all the dishes and took the tables down and clean them all off.  While I was packing up the food and sending it home with them.  I know they appreciated it.  But I appreciated it much more.  I didn’t have alot to do on Sunday, except empty out coolers and hubby took back all the tables and chairs that we borrowed from our neighbors and family.
So it is a huge burden off my shoulders that the time has come that the party planning and graduation is all over with.  Kind of sad and bittersweet at the same time.  Now I have to look forward to celebrating my parents 50th in a couple of weeks.  Another celebration, wow I don’t know what I am going to do.
And also that dreaded day when we start packing for college and then taking him to college and dropping him off and leaving him there.  That will not be easy.  Any advice anyone has out there on how to get thru this is more than welcome.  I am not looking forward to it in the least.
We are off to Fargo, ND in a couple of weeks for the orientation process of college.  It’s a whole day of stuff going on.  Hope I can make it thru a whole day of college orientation.  We will have to stay another night since it doesn’t get done until about 6 p.m. and we would have to eat and then drive 4.5 hours back home. 
I just thought I would let everyone know how things went during the graduation process.
