Has anyone seen the sun?

Ok it has been literally over a week since we have seen the sun for more than five minutes! How depressing is that? It is cloudy out right now and probably trying to snow or something. That is all it has done the last two weeks. We never get snow in October. EVER!!! But we have seen alot of it this month. Thankfully it is not sticking to the ground at all. It is way to early to start with winter. I can’t even begin to think about it. Next week for Halloween the poor kids will have to bundle up. I love seeing all their costumes. I just found out I don’t work that night which I thought I would since everyone has little kids. But if someone wants me to come in for a couple of hours I will. I have had my fun with my kids and they are all grown up now.

Anyway, I told my manager that the one gal has been coming in late. He is going to confront her today and tell her I told him so. I hate that ratting out stuff, but she shouldn’t get paid for not being there. Just be honest and tell him what time you came in. I don’t care if she is there or not. So I am not sure if she is going to be still working there or not. The big thing that stinks is she is my best friends sister!!! They totally have different work ethics that is for sure. I am just waiting for her to call me to see what she has to say. I am sure she will be pissed at me but then again she shouldn’t be late for work and then stick me in the middle of it all. That is what I am going to tell her too. She said she always works extra at night and that she used to put in 15 hours extra a week when she was the manager. Well yea when you are talking on the phone all day and then talking to customers and egnoring the other customers in line because you are talking up a storm. She is definetly Bi-Polar, ADD, and anxiety. Still have a little pride in what you do. So I do feel bad about it. But they have to know that crap is going on. Seriously I am sure I am not the first person she has pulled this on. Plus she would call me every morning and say how she is getting up and then getting in the shower and then wouldn’t show up for two hours. Anyway enough of that.

We are going to the Green Bay Packer game this weekend. It should be fun. I am hoping the weather holds out. I am almost afraid of what it will say if I look ahead. Probably nice out today and then it will rain or snow on Sunday. It should be a good time and I don’t have to work on Monday so I am looking forward to it.

Our son got accepted into the college here in town. I am thrilled! He is not. He wants to go to college at North Dakota State University. I keep telling him we can’t afford out of state college. He is still set on going. I think his girlfriend has something to do with it. She wants to go there and he is following. She hasn’t sent her applications in yet and he wants to wait and explore his options. It would save us a lot of money if he went to the University here in town. He could still drive his car and keep his job and be close to home in case he decides this is not what he wants. He is going into Pharmacy and I hope he makes it. It is hard and the neighbor kid is a senior and waiting to be accepted into a Pharmacy school. Right now they are only accepting students with a 4.0 or better. He has a 3.8 so he doesn’t know what he will do if he is not accepted. That means our son has to maintain a decent GPA to get into Pharmacy school. With a girlfriend as a distraction I am not quite sure he can do it. You don’t have time for girlfriends in college. Unless you are going into something easy. I don’t know I guess we wait and see.
