a new camera
New Year’s Day, I got a new camera, a Nikon L24. I have been curious to see what kind of pictures I got out of this camera, but the good photography weather, and my time, didn’t happen togher until today for me to go out to the Gorge to take some "test" pictures.
I did get some shots in Oregon City the other night:

Well, ok, halfway decent.

This camera doesn’t, or I haven’t learned how to, take good pictures off my balcony:

Out of focus. Shiny car though….

Pointed towards the horizon, the camera does seem to take pictures of longer views:

Hmmm. This camera "likes" blue tones….

The pics do look nicer after the Nikon Editor….

I drove out to the gorge to take the next entry’s pictures.

I had a Nikon L24 camera for a while too! I love Nikon cameras. Is this the only camera you have?

Do you have an action photo setting? I use that a lot on my camera. I see what you mean about the blue tones but you’ll figure it out.

A practical note for a more practical moment: Looks like the camera was focusing on the phone wires rather than the car. It seems to have problems figuring out what you want to focus on. I know you like to frame far away landscapes with near foliage. You may want to mentally rearrange your compositions by finding near foliage to focus on with a blurry background, or figuring out the focus on cam.

I am especially fond of that first picture.
