  Sorry B.C. but the jet stream is sending all the bad weather north of us and letting the sun shine down on Portland.

I drove out into the Columbia Gorge the other day, it was so nice.  I waited till later in the day though, because it’s been icy out there and ya gotta let the sun melt the roads.  That cuts into the best times for light out there but, better safe than real sorry, eh?  I drove out on the Interstate highway for that reason too; the Historic Highway is not the safest road in the winter.  Here’s a slideshow of driving east on I 84 into the Columbia Gorge:
