Bad weather?
Not here.
I think the Portland area has the best (ok, some of the best) weather in the US.
I’ve been note-whoreish lately and haven’t gotten my fix the last few days.
Eh, the post-holidays doldrums, I thought.
But maybe not- I’ve got WGN out of Chicago on cable and I see that the mid-west and southwest are getting heavy winter snows and ice.
Ice! I fear ice.
So maybe a lot of my favorites are otherwise occupied…The weather map looks like shit for most of the country.
I tell ya, pdx has the best weather. It’s bright and sunny outside. Cold, yeah, in the 30’s. They say we might get snow showers and mixed precipitation from Thursday on, but geez, I’m really happy to be here overall.
I’m gonna go out and enjoy the sun.

It;s been raining in Ohio Since Sunday! Non Stop! The temperatures are nice though.

We’ve been unbelievably lucky here in VA…it went to 60 this past weekend and today’s high was 48. I hate ice, it’s so scary!! I’ll take cold and snow but no ice please. BTW…thanks for the NYE kiss 🙂

You would not like it here right now. It is coooold, about seven degrees on my way to work at noonish. And got below zero last night. I was out this morning early because the heater in the horses’ water tank failed and the water was frozen solid. Which meant running the hose and then draining it so it would not freeze solid the next time. And then hoping that by covering the element with water

it would start to work again (it was frozen in the ice, and had evaporated the water away from the element, forming a little air pocket around it, and the rest was frozen solid. Poor horses. They need to drink LOTS of water due to increased hay consumtion to stay warm in the cold weather. They don’t call them hayburners for nothing! Sapphire, our big draft cross mare, alerted us to the problem

Sorry to leave such a long note; I may not be one of your faves, but perhaps your note-whoreishness might be a bit assuaged! I hate the ice, too. I live about ten miles from work and have to travel US 93 to I-90 to get to work. Every day in the winter I watch idiots slide off the highway.
