Driving 2 ss

The plan was to drive out to Stonehenge; there was no plan to drive back.  I figured I’d do what I do in real life a lot; make it up as I went along.  I had thought about driving out on I-84 and back on WA 14, each road on one side of the river from the other, but looking at the map (yeah, AAA member) I saw that I could drive down US 97 into Oregon, and that there were a variety of ways to get back to Portland.  I saw a road I was pretty sure I had never driven on, OR 216.  It cut diagonally from 97 and ran through the Warm Springs Indian Reservation, which I hadn’t seen much of anyway, but before it reached the res, it ran through the Deschutes River canyon:

I took lots of pictures from the driver’s seat; the texture of the dash can be seen in some of these pics.  I did, however, pull over and get out to take some pictures of the good stuff, seen here, and in the next slideshow.
