Feast or famine

Feasting time; my plates are full.

"My" girls lost the state championship – but such is the nature of sports that there is a winner and there is a loser – they got further in the playoffs than anyone else.  Except the winners, of course, and they were from a private school I drive for too.  Before and after the game, I took them to one of the girl’s homes – after so that the coaches could "say a few words" to the parents.  It was 1 am before I got home.

I have to go back to work at 9 – in an hour – to drive all day, shuttling people from the airport to the Hilton Hotel downtown.  It’s not the regular airport shuttle, it’s a special deal for this group, airport to hotel in an all day shuttle from the airport.  I should be done by this afternoon…but it’s still 8 hours on paper, and I don’t see myself doing anything but coming straight home.  I will be (and am, really) a tired cat.  I spent all my time in a big bus yesterday and the day before, but really didn’t drive VERY much – it was mostly waiting time.  Today I’m in a minibus and it looks like mostly driving – no nap time.

Feast or famine.  Load up my plate please.

I guess.

How is downtown looking today after last night/this morning’s freak show? The news channels were trying, but I doubt they were able to catch everything. It looked like a mob scene.
